CATALOG BATTLES

Sponsor: Wise Wolf LLC. Catalog Battles are skill-based competitions decided by verified judges and the crowd, never by chance. Void where prohibited.

1.Eligibility

  1. You must be 18+ and have a BeatBlo¢ account in good standing.
  2. Residents of, and anyone physically located in, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota and Tennessee can't enter a Catalog Battle. We check the state on your profile and where your connection comes from. Free battles are open everywhere.
  3. You must check “I have read the Official Rules” before entering.

2.Entry tiers and purchase prices

  1. Both producers pay the same Entry, in Blocs, when the host locks the battle. Blocs are sold at $1 each and have no cash value.
  2. The winning beat is purchased by Wise Wolf LLC at the tier's purchase price, in US dollars:
    Entry per producerPurchase price
    5 Blocs$9
    10 Blocs$18
    25 Blocs$45
    50 Blocs$90
  3. The entry is used once the battle locks. The other producer never receives it, and it is not part of the purchase price.

3.How the battle is judged

  1. At least 3 verified judges are required. If fewer are available the battle waits; it is never decided by the crowd alone.
  2. Judges are drawn at random from the verified judges present, excluding anyone in either producer's network or squad, or with a connection request open between them, and anyone who has already judged 3 Catalog Battles involving either producer in the last 7 days.
  3. Each judge scores each producer 1–10 on Originality, Arrangement, Mix Quality and Bounce, and writes a note. A judge's score for a producer is the average of those four; the judge score is the panel's average of that, on a 0–100 scale.
  4. What the four mean:
    • Originality — Does it sound like its own thing? Ideas, sound selection, risks that pay off.
    • Arrangement — How the beat moves: sections, transitions, tension and release.
    • Mix Quality — Balance, clarity and low end. Does it translate on phone speakers and in a car?
    • Bounce — The groove. Pocket, swing, and whether it makes the room move.
  5. The crowd score is each producer's share of crowd votes, on a 0–100 scale.
  6. Final score = 80% judges + 20% crowd. (Free battles: 70% judges + 30% crowd.) Higher final score wins.
  7. Both producers receive a full scorecard after the battle: every judge's scores and note, and the crowd share.

4.Crowd votes

  1. One vote per verified account per matchup. The account must be at least 7 days old.
  2. You can't vote if you follow, are followed by, or share a crew with either producer. Producers can't vote on their own battle.
  3. Nothing purchasable — Blocs, tips, boosts — affects a vote. Voting closes when judging closes.

5.Ties, no contest, and cancellations

  1. If the final scores tie, if fewer than 3 scorecards come in, or if the host calls the battle off, there is no winner and both entries are returned in full.

6.The purchase and the license

  1. A win is an offer to purchase a non-exclusive license to the winning beat at the tier price. The producer keeps ownership and can keep selling and licensing the beat elsewhere.
  2. The producer accepts the license in-app. If it isn't accepted within 7 days the offer expires.
  3. Once accepted, the purchase price is owed to the producer and paid out by transfer. Purchase prices are US dollars, not Blocs, and don't appear in the Blocs balance.

7.Disputes and contact

  1. Questions or disputes about a result: support@beatbloc.com, within 7 days of the battle. Wise Wolf LLC's decision on a dispute is final.
  2. Wise Wolf LLC may void a battle for cheating, vote manipulation, or a rules breach, returning entries where appropriate.

These rules are generated from the live tier table and judging settings, so they always match what the app enforces. Void where prohibited by law. Back to BeatBlo¢
